PomoSprint: Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Focus sessions, subjects, reports, friends and leagues are free. Some avatars unlock with sand earned through completed sessions. There are currently no real-money purchases in the app.

PomoSprint is being prepared for iOS and Android. No release date has been announced. Join the waitlist for a launch email.

Choose 25 or 50 minutes and start after a 3-2-1 countdown. One pause is allowed and reduces that session’s points by 20%. Marathon combines 2, 3 or 4 sessions with five-minute breaks. Confirm “I’m here” within one minute after each break. If you leave, completed sessions keep their regular points.

Elapsed time is preserved. An offline Pomodoro is saved on your phone and sent when connected, within 24 hours of starting. Starting a Marathon, confirming after a break and starting a new mock exam require internet. A running mock exam keeps the correct time even if the app closes.

Choose LGS, YKS, TUS, DUS, KPSS, language, university or work. You can plan TUS and DUS preparation with the relevant subjects. Manage up to eight active study categories and change their names, colours and order.

Pomodoro and mock exam leagues are separate. Compete with people sharing your study goal in rooms of up to 25, and see all goals in the global ranking. Leagues reset at 00:00 on the first day of the month, Istanbul time. Study days and streaks still change at 04:00. A mid-month goal change applies next month without losing points. Preparation, promotion and award conditions are explained in the app.

No. Choose TYT, AYT, YDT, LGS Verbal, LGS Quantitative, TUS Basic, TUS Clinical or DUS. Question count and duration are provided. After the 3-2-1 countdown, solve without pauses or breaks. The two LGS sessions are separate mock exams. When you finish AYT before time runs out, choose “I’ve finished the exam” to record your actual study time. An abandoned attempt remains marked as abandoned in My exams and earns no points, sand or study time.

No. Correct and wrong answers calculate unanswered counts automatically, and you can still edit unanswered counts. Save only the subjects you have entered and fill in or edit the others later. Negative values and totals above the question count are rejected. Net scores use correct − wrong/4 for YKS, TUS and DUS, and correct − wrong/3 for LGS; the English interface uses decimal dots. Scores are personal records and never change points, sand or leagues. You can add a name and note to an attempt. For AYT, first choose one or more of the four tests you completed, then enter results for their subjects. The server verifies rewards; entering net scores earns no rewards. Full-duration rewards are 60 sand for LGS Verbal, 70 for LGS Quantitative, 95 for YDT, 110 each for TUS Basic and Clinical, 120 for DUS, 130 for TYT and 145 for AYT. Early AYT rewards are proportional to actual time: 90 minutes earns 72 sand and 18 points.

When there are enough comparable attempts and study records, insights show changes in subject net scores alongside time spent studying. Missing data is not invented and correlation is not presented as proof of cause. Completed mock exams count toward total study time but are not divided among subjects.

Connect by sending and accepting friend-code requests. Friends can see “Focusing”, “On a break” or “Taking a mock exam”. Break status is only used for Marathon breaks. Visibility and blocking choices are respected. Your subject net scores are private.

There are 42 available characters: 7 starters, 4 unlocked for 200 sand each, 21 special avatars for 500 sand each, and 10 earned league awards. League awards cannot be bought. New mock exam league artwork will appear separately when ready.

Turkish and English. Choose your language after signing up and change it later in your profile. Light and dark themes are also available.

Your display name and avatar may appear to friends and in relevant rankings. Public lists shorten display names and never show email addresses. Turning off public visibility removes you from live and public lists, but does not hide you from existing friends or your league room.
